Wow. “Wow” is the first word that comes to mind when I think to describe my experience so far on Ride for Rare Diseases. In only 15 days, I have ridden more than 1000 miles through some of the most beautiful and unique landscapes I have seen. Over mountains, through deserts, past dense forests and wide open plains. It has been truly incredible. Probably my favorite part so far, other than meeting all of the wonderful people (which has been the absolute highlight of the entire ride), was the ride through the Columbia River Gorge, from Portland to The Dalles, OR. The ride went up and over Mt. Hood before descending into the Gorge, and from the enormous climb to the speedy descents, the ride was a rollercoaster of effort, emotion, and excitement. It was awesome.
I now find myself to be having these amazing experiences every single day. Through this blog, I hope to share them with you. This page will be updated periodically with new stories and experiences from my Ride for Rare Diseases.
